Blog 22: Independent Component 2

Independent Component

I, Kyndra Isom, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours and 30 minutes of work.

For this independent component I have created a commercial advertising the need for water conservation and its importance. In the video I give my the two main problems that water conservation is trying to solve; pollution and lack of water. In the commercial I give numerous examples for each problem, and statistics towards the end. The video itself and finding all the parts for the video took a long time, especially when it came to the music. The video ended up being three minutes long. I also did a story board for my video as well. When I was completely finished with all of that, I went and made a pamphlet that also explained the problem. This pamphlet will help me spread my commercial because on it, I put a QR code of my video. I've already put it up in some places, that I will show pictures of. This component helped me answer my EQ because through this I was able to help educate the public. One of my answers is education, and it is a very important part of my topic, so through this I figured out a way to tell people about the issue at hand.

Blog 21 - Interview 4 Reflection

Interview

1. What is the most important thing I learned from this interview?

From this interview I learned new terms about water conservation and different ways that big businesses and others can conserve water. I also got a new source that I can use as well. It was interesting to get someone else's opinion on the on some parts of the subject.

2. How will what I learned affect my final lesson?

I can use some of the terms I learned in my final lesson, and I can use the new information I learned about conserving water and put it towards my third answer.
